Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Sound Engineer to lead audio efforts across our company, ensuring seamless audio operations at various events throughout the year. This role combines time spent at our Bristol warehouse preparing audio equipment, plus travel to on-site events with the full production team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in broadcast audio engineering, including audio mixing and communications engineering (talkback). They will quickly adapt to our in-house equipment, driving the research, preparation, and deployment of all audio kits for events.
Key Responsibilities
- Audio Equipment Preparation: Familiarise with and prep all in-house audio equipment before each event.
- Sound Supervise Small Events: Independently sound supervise smaller, streamed events.
- Sound Assist: Sound assist for broadcasts, with the potential to assume a sound guarantee role on larger projects based on experience level.
- Research and Advise: Stay up-to-date with advancements in audio engineering to recommend new equipment or processes.
- Communications Engineering: Handle and troubleshoot talkback systems to maintain clear communications during live broadcasts.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in audio engineering within a broadcast environment, with a mix of audio engineering, audio mixing, and communications (talkback) skills.
- Knowledgeable: Strong understanding of live broadcast audio setups and the demands of on-the-road event support.
