JDR Recruitment are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to join our client based in Appleton Warrington on a direct permanent basis.

Location: Warrington WA4

Salary: £12.83 per hour

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 & 07:30-15:30 rotating weekly

The Role:

  • Pick stock as prioritised in line with dispatch deadlines ensuring maximum customer satisfaction
  • Replenish stock in the aisles to ensure continued picking efficiencies
  • Offloading deliveries and locating in the Warehouse ensuring a high level of stock accuracy
  • Checking and signing for deliveries in line with supplier documentation
  • Highlighting any stock queries and shortages and updating the warehouse log with stock movements
  • Support in the identification and elimination of waste in all its forms, including loading waste in the appropriate skip ready for disposal
  • Assist in loading stock in a controlled and efficient manner ready for customer delivery
  • Ensure that current and future Health, Safety and Environment policy is adhered to continually support the creation of a centre of excellence culture

Experience / Skills Required:

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Good time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Develops effective and supportive relationships with colleagues
  • Physically fit to carry / pack loads for delivery
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Positive, 'can do' and 'gets it done' attitude
  • Self-motivated and takes pride at the task in hand
  • FLT license would be advantageous although training would be provided for the right candidate
