The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our client based in Ulverston. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing, regular work with consistent hours.
The Role:
- 2-day working week
- Double-manned deliveries, predominantly into London
- Typically 2 drops per shift
- Collections completed on the return journey
- Start time of approximately 20:30, finishing around 11:00 the following morning
- Night out allowance £25 per night
- Trailer swaps included
Duties Include:
- Delivering chilled food products including beef, pork and other goods
- Tail lift deliveries
- Some manual handling - cage work on tail lift and ramp
- Loads are generally not excessively heavy
Shift Pattern:
- Regular work available Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week
- Additional shifts available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
Pay Rates:
- £17.50ph days
- £18.50ph nights
- Minimum 10 hours
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid CPC Qualification Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- A professional and reliable approach to work
- Comfortable with manual handling where required
