The Best Connection are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for our client based in Ulverston. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for ongoing, regular work with consistent hours.

The Role:

  • 2-day working week
  • Double-manned deliveries, predominantly into London
  • Typically 2 drops per shift
  • Collections completed on the return journey
  • Start time of approximately 20:30, finishing around 11:00 the following morning
  • Night out allowance £25 per night
  • Trailer swaps included

Duties Include:

  • Delivering chilled food products including beef, pork and other goods
  • Tail lift deliveries
  • Some manual handling - cage work on tail lift and ramp
  • Loads are generally not excessively heavy

Shift Pattern:

  • Regular work available Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week
  • Additional shifts available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

Pay Rates:

  • £17.50ph days
  • £18.50ph nights
  • Minimum 10 hours

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Valid CPC Qualification Card
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • A professional and reliable approach to work
  • Comfortable with manual handling where required
