Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Temporary Accommodation Reduction Officer for a local authority in East London. In this role, you will help reduce the use of temporary accommodation by supporting homeless households to secure suitable private rented sector accommodation and prevent homelessness.
Duties:
- Reduce the use of temporary accommodation by securing suitable private rented sector housing.
- Support homeless households through prevention and move-on options.
- Liaise with landlords, agents and internal teams to source suitable properties.
- Manage a caseload while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with housing legislation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience in Housing Options, Homelessness Prevention or Temporary Accommodation.
- Good knowledge of homelessness legislation and the private rented sector.
- Experience managing a busy housing caseload and achieving positive outcomes.
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
