The engagement involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an audit review of an Investment Bank's Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) governance and testing framework.
The focus will be on providing expert advice and guidance throughout the audit, helping to assess whether annual HMRC SAO attestations are supported by:
- An appropriate controls framework
- A risk-based testing approach
- Robust governance processes
- Alignment with leading market practices
The SME would not be responsible for conducting the audit itself, but would provide specialist input and challenge throughout the engagement.
