Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Homeless Advisor for a local authority in Southwest London.
In this role, you will provide tailored housing advice, manage a varied caseload and work proactively with customers and partners to prevent homelessness and secure suitable, sustainable accommodation.
Duties:
- Assess housing needs and develop personalised housing plans to prevent or relieve homelessness.
- Manage a varied caseload, providing housing advice, mediation and support.
- Investigate homelessness applications and recommend outcomes under relevant legislation.
- Work with landlords and partner agencies to secure suitable, affordable and sustainable accommodation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience providing housing advice, support or customer-facing services.
- Experience managing a caseload and prioritising competing demands.
- Experience dealing with vulnerable customers and complex situations.
- Experience negotiating with landlords, agencies or other stakeholders to resolve housing issues.
What's on offer:
Salary: £30ph
*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
Contract type: 6 months minimum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
