A well-regarded professional services firm is looking to appoint a Director into its international tax practice, focused specifically on clients operating in the real estate, hospitality and construction space. This is a chance to work closely with senior partners and an established, high-calibre team that has a strong track record advising on major cross-border deals.

About the Role
The practice has grown substantially in recent years and continues to expand, driven by ongoing shifts in the global tax landscape. This is a good moment to join a team that plays an active role in helping international businesses respond to those changes.

You'll be involved in a broad mix of work, including:

  • Supporting clients as they enter new markets
  • Advising on reorganisations both ahead of and following major transactions
  • Simplifying and rationalising legal entity structures
  • Reviewing and redesigning operating models
  • Advising on financing and capital structure decisions
  • Structuring around intellectual property ownership and associated reliefs
  • Helping clients manage the impact of international tax reform (such as BEPS)
  • Liaising with tax authorities on behalf of clients, both in the UK and abroad

What the Role Involves

  • Developing and growing client relationships, including identifying new business opportunities
  • Overseeing delivery of complex, high-value advisory projects
  • Taking ownership of service quality across client engagements
  • Building a wider network, both internally and externally, to support the team's growth
  • Supervising, coaching and developing more junior members of the team
  • Playing a hands-on role in the team's day-to-day and strategic management

What You'll Need

  • A relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA), Tax Inspector training, or a legal qualification
  • A degree
  • Solid experience as a corporate tax practitioner, ideally client-facing
  • Sound understanding of UK and cross-border tax legislation
  • Background working within, or closely with, the real estate sector
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and budgets

What's on Offer

  • Strong prospects for progression within a growing international team
  • Involvement in significant, high-profile transaction work
  • A supportive, flexible working environment
  • Structured development to help you build a long-term career in international tax
