With the finance team currently under pressure, we're looking for someone who can quickly integrate into the business, provide leadership and support to the existing team, and help strengthen financial processes while ensuring business-as-usual activities continue to run smoothly.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll play a key role across the finance function with responsibilities including:
- Leading the month-end process and bringing management accounts back on schedule.
- Managing complex group cash flow forecasting across multiple entities.
- Posting journals and overseeing financial reporting within Xero.
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and strengthening financial controls.
- Managing supplier payment runs and supporting working capital management.
- Supporting payroll activities across the UK, Ireland and Germany.
- Providing day-to-day leadership and support to a small finance team.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager/Management Accountant who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and isn't afraid to get into the detail.
You'll ideally have
- Qualified accountant status (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong management accounting and month-end experience.
- Excellent cash flow forecasting and working capital management skills.
- Experience working within SME or project-based organisations.
- Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP or cloud accounting systems (Xero experience would be advantageous).
- Previous experience managing or mentoring finance teams.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify process improvements and support operational decision-making.
