SALARY: £55,893 per annum

Location: Northallerton / hybrid

Working pattern: Hybrid - Typically 2 days per week across the portfolio, with regular on-site presence

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Financial Planning Manager will be at the heart of financial decision making across Broadacres. Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting and business partnering, you will turn complex information into clear insight and constructive challenge for leaders across the organisation. You will also lead regulatory reporting, the 30-year financial plan, statutory accounts and quarterly returns, alongside treasury, cash-flow forecasting, interest payments, and rent and service charge setting. It is an opportunity to strengthen financial confidence today while helping Broadacres plan responsibly for the homes, services and investment of the future.

KEY PRIORITIES

  • Deliver trusted, timely monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, supported by incisive variance analysis.
  • Maintain five-year and 30-year financial plans using scenario modelling, sensitivity analysis and stress testing.
  • Build a customer-focused finance business partnering model that strengthens understanding, ownership and accountability.
  • Coordinate regulatory returns, statutory accounts, audit support and taxation compliance.
  • Oversee liquidity, cash-flow forecasting, facility drawdowns, interest payments, lender covenants and treasury reporting.
  • Lead transparent, compliant rent and service charge setting.
  • Build a motivated, high-performing Financial Performance team.

You will make financial information accessible, develop trusted relationships with non-finance colleagues and create a high-performing team focused on service, insight and continuous improvement.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
  • Leadership of finance business partnering and support to non-finance managers.
  • Interpretation and presentation of financial data.
  • Team leadership and year-end / external audit support.

Desirable

  • Social housing or not-for-profit.
  • Regulatory reporting, long-term planning and treasury.
  • Rent and service charge setting.
  • Finance system implementation or upgrades.

Skills

Essential

  • Excellent financial analysis, judgement and problem solving.
  • Constructive challenge and influencing at all levels.
  • Strong communication, organisation, people management and attention to detail.
