Broadacres Housing Association is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Learning Disability Service team. Our Support Workers play a crucial role in providing high-quality support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them to live more independent and fulfilling lives. We are proud to be expanding this service.

As a Customer Experience Housing Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities within our housing service. This will involve prompting with day-to-day tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores, as well as supporting individuals to access community activities and develop life skills.

The successful candidate will have a positive and proactive approach to supporting individuals with learning disabilities, and will be able to build trusting relationships with customers and their families. You will have excellent communication skills, and will be able to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing practical and emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities
  • Supporting customers to access community activities and develop life skills
  • Working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for customers
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of support provided
  • Promoting independence and empowerment for customers

This role is based in Broadacres, and will involve working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required. A full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
