We're looking for a Chef Supervisor to lead the delivery of a high-quality catering service at our extra care scheme in Stokesley. This is a hands-on role where you'll supervise the kitchen team, maintain excellent food standards, and support the day-to-day running of the catering service. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you'll help ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming dining experience for our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience as a chef, kitchen supervisor, catering team leader, or catering supervisor who is looking for a rewarding role with sociable working hours between 8am and 5pm.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support catering team members in food preparation, cooking, and service
- Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations within our Stokesley extra care scheme
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
- Support audits, stock control, and cost-effective service delivery
- Assist with rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Motivate, train, and develop team members
- Deputise for the Chef Manager when required
- Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Reliable, proactive, and team-focused
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (or higher)
- HACCP/Food Safety training
- Stock control or ordering experience
- Knowledge of dietary requirements, including IDDSI standards, allergens, gluten-free, and lactose intolerance
