The Role
We are looking for a Mobile Catering Supervisor to support high-quality catering services across our extra care schemes. This is a hands-on role where you will lead kitchen teams, ensure excellent food standards, and step in to provide cover across sites when needed. You will work closely with the Chef Manager to keep services running smoothly and efficiently while delivering a great dining experience for our customers. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a varied role, working sociable hours from 8am to 5pm across our 4 extra care sites. If you have experience as a chef, kitchen supervisor, catering team leader or catering supervisor this could be the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support catering teams in food preparation, cooking, and service
- Supervise day-to-day kitchen operations in any one of our four extra care schemes
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and compliance
- Support audits, stock control, and cost-effective service delivery
- Assist with rotas and ensure appropriate staffing levels
- Motivate, train, and develop team members
- Deputise for the Chef Manager when required
About You
- Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations
- Flexible, reliable, and team-focused
Essential qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery
- Level 2 Food Hygiene (or higher)
- A full drivers licence
Desirable:
- HACCP / food safety training
- Stock control or ordering experience
- Knowledge of dietary requirements, including IDDSI standards, allergens, gluten-free, and lactose intolerance
