The Role
We're looking for a Joiner Glazier to join our Responsive Repairs Team and play a key role in delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services to our customers. As one of Broadacres' specialists in UPVC and glazing repairs, you'll help ensure our homes remain safe, secure and maintained to the highest standards while providing an excellent customer experience.
Explain the role
This is a varied, customer-focused role where you'll carry out a wide range of joinery and glazing repairs across our housing stock. From replacing glazing units and repairing UPVC doors and windows, to fitting kitchens, renewing doors and carrying out fencing repairs, you'll use your trade expertise to deliver first-time fixes wherever possible. You'll work closely with customers and colleagues, ensuring all repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest technical standards while providing expert advice and practical solutions on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out glazing repairs and installations, including the removal and replacement of glass, beading and UPVC components.
- Undertake a range of joinery repairs, including kitchen installations, door and frame replacements, gates and fencing repairs.
- Diagnose repair issues and provide practical solutions, including adapting obsolete components where appropriate.
- Carry out damp and mould treatment and removal works.
- Deliver high-quality repairs that meet technical, manufacturer and health and safety standards.
- Build positive relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service at every visit.
- Use mobile technology to accurately record work completed and support continuous service improvement.
- Ensure effective use of materials and maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment responsibly.
- Participate in training, team meetings and ongoing professional development

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Significant experience working within housing repairs, maintenance or a similar property maintenance environment.
- Experience undertaking joinery and glazing repairs.
- Experience working with a variety of window and door profiles.
- Experience delivering customer-facing repair services.
- Relevant City & Guilds Basic Craft Certificate.
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 in a relevant trade or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of joinery, glazing techniques, construction methods and health and safety requirements.
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and accurately measure and survey glazing requirements.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
- Experience working within a social housing or local authority environment.
- Experience of void property repairs.
- Knowledge or experience of Schedule of Rates systems.
- Ability to undertake maintenance work across multiple trades.
- Relevant City & Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate.
- Health & Safety certification such as CSCS.
