This is a unique opportunity to join Broad Horizons (BH) as an Associate Psychotherapist delivering FACE TO FACE therapy for the Little Troopers Therapy Programme, a specialist funded therapeutic service from the charity Little Troopers who support military children and young people across England. You will play a key role in bringing this programme to life across England. As referrals open, therapists will be matched to cases based on need and geographical spread and deliver Face to Face Therapy in the child's local area.

About the Little Troopers Therapy Programme (LTTP)

The LTTP is a pioneering national programme delivered by Little Troopers in collaboration with Broad Horizons who are delivering the therapeutic requirements on behalf of Little Troopers to support children from military families facing separation, deployment, mobility, and the emotional complexity of service life. The programme blends:

  • A 6-session therapeutic model
  • Specialist content designed specifically for military families
  • Screening and TPS embedded throughout
  • A structured but relational approach suitable for mild-to-moderate emotional needs
  • A focus on resilience, identity, and emotional expression

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking compassionate, skilled psychotherapists with a desire to support the Armed Forces community. You will need to be confident in delivering structured therapeutic work and open to integrating screening and TPS processes within sessions.

  • Must be registered with a professionally recognised body
  • Experience delivering one-to-one therapeutic support to children/young people
  • Current enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through BH)
  • Professional insurance to deliver therapy
  • Active engagement in clinical supervision
  • High level of professional integrity, record-keeping, and safeguarding awareness
  • Willingness to complete training provided by Little Troopers and BH
  • Ability to work remotely and flexibly
  • Commitment to delivering all 6 sessions consistently to each allocated young person
  • Experience working with military families or high-mobility populations
  • Understanding of attachment, transitions, or trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience working within third-sector or education settings
