D5 – D6 £25,583 to £25,989 (Pro rata actual £13,829 to £14,049)
Hours
20 hours per week, all year round Monday to Friday 2:15pm to 6:15pm. Flexibility essential to cover absence.
Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, self‑motivated and conscientious caretaker to join our estates team at St Clements Academy.
The role involves carrying out basic maintenance, building repairs, and maintaining the school and grounds clean, safe, and tidy.
Responsibilities
- Carry out basic maintenance and building repairs.
- Keep the school premises and surrounding grounds clean, safe and tidy.
- Assist with day‑to‑day operational tasks for the estates team.
Qualifications
- Experience in a caretaker or maintenance role, ideally within a school environment.
- Good administrative, communication and ICT skills.
- Understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance applicable to school premises: Health & Safety, COSHH, asbestos and legionella.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team.
