Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Operations, as the Dispatch and Stock Control Manager, this role sits at the heart of our Operations team, responsible for overseeing the full order‑to‑delivery process and ensuring we maintain and manage stock availability and provide outstanding delivery and customer service to our customers. You will support our Office, Warehouse and Deliveries teams’ day‑to‑day, driving high standards, efficiency, and clear communication across all areas of dispatch and stock control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage our core beer stock levels across our warehouse and 3PL partners, ensuring we can consistently meet AYR and seasonal demand.
- Coordinate resources across drivers, couriers and logistics partners, continuously seeking improvements that streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Build accurate demand forecasts using sales, marketing, and seasonal data, creating reliable call‑off plans within our supply chain.
- Maintain accurate stock control across the warehouse and 3PL sites, providing regular stock‑holding reports and investigating variances.
- Oversee accurate processing of customer orders using AI‑supported software and schedule deliveries efficiently to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Support the Office, Warehouse and Deliveries teams, ensuring a smooth day‑to‑day workflow.
- Manage delivery resources and budgets (couriers and 3PL partners) and optimise these relationships to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Drive continuous process improvements and identify opportunities for automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Who We’re Looking For
This is a varied and fast‑paced position ideal for someone energetic, organised, and experienced in logistics and stock management within a brewery or similar environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Management experience in a brewery or hospitality/drinks operations environment.
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience, including forecasting and demand planning.
- Proven despatch, logistics, and order‑to‑delivery management experience.
- Confidence using management systems (e.g. Breww), integrations, and reporting tools.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure, with excellent planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
- A detail‑driven, solutions‑focused, collaborative “can‑do” mindset.
- Strong communication skills and a team‑player approach, working effectively with the wider business.
Nice to have:
- Forklift operator’s licence.
- UK valid driver’s licence.
