The WI is the largest women’s organisation with over 210,000 members. It plays a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities, the chance to build new skills and campaign on issues that matter to them. We have an opportunity for a confident and motivated individual to join our Public Affairs Team. Assisting in all fields of public affairs research, campaigning and lobbying, you will provide administrative and research support to the Team and support with the development and delivery of events and special projects. You will also provide a vital service to the Public Affairs Committee and working groups, ensuring that agendas, meetings and reports are all up-to-date and accurate, and aid the Head of Public Affairs as the main point of contact for the Committee.
Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will be an experienced administrator with a background in maintaining databases and office systems. A good team player with a flexible attitude, you will have excellent communication and customer care skills and the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. An understanding of social and environmental issues is also essential, along with a genuine commitment to the values and ethos of the WI.
