Working For: Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND)
The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament is looking for a Peace Education Development Coordinator (PEDC) to expand the delivery capacity of its peace education programme through the development of a national School Speakers’ Network.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in an educational environment and of recruiting and coordinating volunteers. They will be committed to cooperative and active learning, as well as the overall aims and objectives of CND. A good working knowledge of the English Education System and National Curriculum is essential, as is experience of delivering training and of public speaking.
Although the job is London-based, applicants should note that it will involve regular travel throughout the UK, including frequent overnight stays. Working hours will be 35h/five days per week. This is a one year contract in the first instance and is subject to a 3-month probationary period. CND strives to be an equal opportunities employer.
