The Brixton Blog is growing up, and needs your help to find its legs. We’re one of the fastest growing hyperlocal newspapers in the country, with a rapidly growing online readership and strong social media presence and have recently launched a popular monthly print newspaper, The Brixton Bugle.
With backing from The Journalism Foundation we’re now looking for an experienced media sales freelancer to grow our advertising accounts and make the project fully sustainable. The right candidate will have strong advertising or sales experience in print and online media, an interest in local and online journalism, and the hunger to work hard to grow the Blog and help us realise its potential.
You’ll be joining us at a very exciting time, as we look to expand our print distribution and online content. We can offer an initial 3 month contract of £500/month + commission (approx 60 hours work a month). You can work from our central Brixton office or from home, and preference will be given to applicants that live in or near to Brixton.
