We're working with a well-established, nationally recognised main contractor that's looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join its growing pre-construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a business with a strong pipeline of work, delivering major industrial, warehouse and manufacturing projects ranging from £15m to £150m.

The Role

You'll play a key role within the estimating team, taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and working closely with internal teams, clients and the supply chain to secure high-quality projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing tenders from receipt through to submission and post-tender negotiations
  • Producing cost plans and supporting two-stage tenders
  • Liaising with internal teams and the wider supply chain throughout the tender process
  • Reviewing quotations and ensuring compliance with project specifications
  • Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • Preparing tender handover documentation
  • Attending pre-tender, mid-tender and post-tender meetings
  • Visiting project sites where required

We're looking for someone with:

  • Estimating experience within a main contractor environment
  • Experience working on industrial, warehouse, manufacturing or similar large-scale construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of design and build projects
  • Excellent commercial awareness and construction knowledge
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and estimating software
  • Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
