As a Service engineer at Carlsberg Britvic, you will be responsible for delivering world‑class engineering technical excellence in fault resolution and maintenance standards, promoting the delivery of site scorecard measures. Your role will involve safely monitoring and maintaining all Facilities equipment on site within Quality and safety margins, ensuring optimum utilisation and reliability to meet production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Help deliver the site's energy, equipment, and maintenance plans (aligned with Britvic Work System - BWS).
- Develop and implement effective engineering solutions that improve performance and meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with Operations to improve site results and support engineering skill development.
- Plan and manage maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, staying within budget.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and acting on improvement opportunities.
- Perform regular safety and quality checks; address any issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards, including contractor oversight.
- Support delivery of capital engineering projects - on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
Qualifications
- Hands‑on engineering/technical/facilities maintenance experience.
- Proven track record in maintenance delivery within a performance‑focused manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in planned and preventative maintenance, audits, and HACCP standards.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing internal and contractor safety systems (e.g., lock‑off, risk assessments, permits).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- City & Guilds or relevant technical qualification.
- ONC/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- BOAS certification and Legionella LCOP8 training (desirable).
