About the role

As an Inbound Raw Materials Operator at our Beckton manufacturing site, you'll receive, store and distribute raw materials to ensure production runs smoothly.

Working as part of a highly flexible, multi-skilled team, you'll carry out a wide range of operational tasks while meeting or exceeding performance scorecard targets.

  • Role responsibilities
  • Completion of raw material management including put-away and pick.
  • Ensure that the Inbound operation works in conjunction with Production to deliver against plans.
  • Effective daily use of EWP, Windows systems and others as required.
  • Accountable for basic error resolution and stock accuracy.
  • Ensure that internal and external customer service targets are met in line with scorecard expectations.
  • Vehicle loading and unloading.
  • Inspect all deliveries and raise quality concerns with the quality team.
  • Actively involved in continuous improvement activities e. g., Zero Loss, Health & Safety, costs.
  • To ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Environment Statutory standards, and Site policies.
  • Undertake the required workplace transport pre-shift and/or safety inspections.
  • Work within, adhere to and drive 5S Principles.
  • Development of self and others in accordance with Functional Skills Framework.
  • To assist in covering team members during absence

Experience and key attributes

  • Significant EWP operational experience
  • Previous experience in warehousing operations
  • Ability to communicate within a structured team
  • Experience of working autonomously
  • Recognised (RTITB) FLT or equivalent qualification
  • 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English or equivalent (any grade)
  • Appropriate qualifications in warehousing e. g. NVQ's desirable
