As GB Manufacturing Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the GB Manufacturing Site Leadership Teams to deliver operational and financial performance across each site. You will provide strong financial leadership within Supply Chain, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of total production costs in GB. Collaborating with peers in Finance (Supply Chain, Financial Control, FP&A), you will help develop plans to meet in-year performance targets and foster understanding of challenges and opportunities. The role requires applying professional judgement to act as an effective decision partner across three site leadership teams, while standardising financial processes such as reporting, cost control, and manufacturing accounting.
Based primarily in Hemel Hempstead, the role involves regular presence at each site and oversight of financial control and governance. Key responsibilities include:
- Driving business performance by providing leadership and ensuring clarity on performance drivers and necessary interventions.
- Monitoring monthly performance against budget and outlook, and connecting financial and operational metrics.
- Managing risks and opportunities with clear ownership.
- Collaborating with site leadership to deliver performance management outcomes, including insights into total costs and maintaining financial controls and KPIs.
- Raising awareness of financial performance and ensuring plans are in place to meet or exceed budgets.
- Supporting business planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes with robust analyses and risk assessments.
- Supporting the calculation of standard production costs, transfer prices, and conducting cost and mix analysis.
- Sharing insights on cost trends with Commercial Finance teams.
- Supporting value creation, capital spend control, and process/system improvements.
Qualifications include:
- Qualified accountant with practical financial control experience.
- Previous experience in Manufacturing Finance is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and change management.
- Strong business judgement, prioritisation, and discipline.
- Ability to connect financial and operational performance simply.
- Proactive questioning to mitigate unforeseen risks.
