About the role:
Manage one of our production units at Carlsberg Britvic as a Production Unit Manager, where you’ll shape performance, safety, and culture on site in Leeds. You’ll inspire and develop effective teams, lead continuous improvement, and deliver results across safety, quality, cost, and productivity using zero‑loss and lean principles. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader who wants real ownership, accountability, and the chance to shape outcomes on site within a business behind some of the UK’s most iconic brands.
Reporting to the Site Production Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop skilled production teams, embedding a strong safety‑first and inclusive culture.
- Deliver Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Productivity targets across the production unit.
- Lead Health & Safety excellence, driving proactive risk reduction and safe working behaviours.
- Manage operational performance across OEE, waste reduction, throughput and cost control.
- Implement zero‑loss manufacturing principles and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Own planned and preventative maintenance activities to maximise asset reliability and performance.
- Lead structured problem‑solving and root cause analysis to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Manage area budgets, resources and workforce planning to meet operational demand.
- Champion Growth Culture Principles and Semper Ardens, fostering engagement and empowerment.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Demonstrated experience leading teams within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Consistent delivery of operational KPIs across safety, quality, cost and performance.
- Experience applying continuous improvement and zero‑loss / lean manufacturing principles.
- Experienced manager skilled at coaching and developing staff at every level.
- Demonstrates solid problem‑solving abilities and experience using data to inform decisions.
- Desired - Relevant qualification at Level 5 in Management, Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent experience.
- Desired - IOSH, NEBOSH, IEMA or HACCP qualification (or willingness to achieve).
