Hybrid working pattern—2–3 days in the office and attending team meetings when necessary

Job Overview
We are seeking an ambitious and intellectually curious Junior Data Scientist to join our Supply and Demand Planning – Insights team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate eager to apply their expertise in solving real-world challenges—whether it\’s predicting customer behavior, optimizing operations, or identifying patterns in complex datasets across our supply chain. You\’ll collaborate with experienced insight developers, insight analysts, and subject-matter experts to design, develop, and deploy models that deliver a meaningful impact to support business decisions.
Role Responsibilities
Working alongside the insight developers and subject-matter experts to build scalable solutions & contribute to experimental research, model prototyping
Designing and building models to solve real-world problems using statistical/machine learning techniques
Carrying out full data science workflows: from data acquisition and cleaning to modeling, validation, and deployment
Collaborating within the insights team to support overall business delivery
Staying current with advancements in machine learning and AI, and contributing new ideas
Supporting the future development of our reporting capability and future system enhancements
Experience and Key Attributes
A degree in Data Science or a related field
Strong programming skills
A solid understanding of core machine learning concepts, data wrangling, and model evaluation
A passion for solving complex problems using data and a continuous learning mindset
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Full right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role)
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or SAC
Knowledge of SQL & Python
Experience with experimental design, research methods, or academic publishing
Experience with demand & supply planning tools (e.g., SAP is preferred but not essential)
Experience in the FMCG industry
