Job Overview
Britvic is seeking an energetic and committed HSE Coordinator to join our team in the Food & Beverages industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in implementing and championing the site\’s HSE Management Programme, fostering a strong safety culture aligned with Britvic\’s core values. You will work closely with site operations at all levels to drive sustainable initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Role Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of the site\’s HSE Management Programme, bringing a positive attitude and a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with site operations to embed a robust safety culture and deliver on the site\’s HSE objectives.
- Lead and deliver site HSE plans for people, planet, and performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and standards.
- Engage with the wider Business Units and PLC HSE Team to support Britvic\’s Zero Harm strategy and drive local initiatives for improved performance.
- Positively influence at all levels, supporting the implementation of Safety improvements through collaboration and effective communication.
- Take a lead role in working with Duty Holders to deliver the Legal Compliance Programme in line with site requirements.
- Undertake projects as directed by the HSE Manager and assist in training and coaching where applicable.
Experience and Key Attributes
- Hands-on, practical knowledge and experience working in a similar role within FMCG or other similar business, collaborating with different levels across the organization.
- Proven ability to coach others and bring them along to deliver key projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and inspire teams.
- Patience, diplomacy, and the ability to provide honest and constructive feedback in challenging situations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify appropriate actions.
- Collaborative approach, able to influence others through enthusiasm and passion for HSE.
- Resilience, decisiveness, and the ability to make decisions that are right for the people and business.
Education
Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
Certifications
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (or willingness to complete training in role) – preferred
- Internal Auditor certification – preferred
