Working Hours: 39 hours per week, Wednesday-Sunday

About the role

As a Facilities Technician at our Beckton manufacturing site, you'll work as part of the Engineering function to undertake repairs and improvements to the site buildings and infrastructure. Key internal stakeholders for this position will include the Facilities Senior Technician, Engineering Maintenance Managers and Production Team Leaders who you will regularly communicate with about the progress of works affecting site performance and other information affecting the activities on site.

Role responsibilities:

  • Undertake adhoc site repairs as required.
  • Undertake key tasks to ensure day to day running of site.
  • Support the overall site improvement standards including painting, minor building works and any other associated activities.
  • Instrumental proactive approach to rectify issues before they occur including fault finding tasks.
  • Support the legal compliance activities on site.
  • Undertake training and development to support the role and further progression of site.

Experience and key attributes:

  • Practical experience in a facilities or maintenance environment with knowledge of manufacturing facilities, building maintenance, and practical maintenance tasks.
  • Time-served experience in a similar role.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Takes pride in their work, demonstrates ownership, and consistently delivers results.
  • Committed to continuous improvement and identifying more efficient ways of working.
  • Minimum of 2 GCSEs (A–C) or equivalent, with the ability to interpret technical information.
  • COSHH and HACCP knowledge is desirable.
