Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EHS Technician to join our team at Britvic, a leading company in the Food & Beverages industry. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting the implementation of the site\’s HSE Management Programme, working closely with site operations at all levels to embed a strong safety culture. With a positive attitude and a desire for continuous learning and improvement, you will champion the delivery of the site\’s HSE objectives, supporting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake projects as directed by the HSE Manager and assist in training and coaching where applicable, e.g., inductions and contractor controls.
- Solve problems and work collaboratively with site managers and supervisors, maintaining a positive and enthusiastic approach to making the site safe, healthy, and sustainable.
- Carry out inspections and audits of key risk areas as directed by the HSE Manager.
- Deputize for the HSE Coordinator in their absence.
- Ensure accurate, comprehensive, and timely reporting of HSE incidents into the online HSE management system.
- Support the maintenance and periodic review of risk assessments, safe operating standards, and other risk documentation for site operations.
- Support ISO 45001 and 14001 external audits on site, facilitating and hosting external auditors, and guiding teams in their preparation activities.
- Work together with HR and Team Leaders to actively monitor Occupational Health surveillance activities and compliance, understanding and responding to trends.
- Play an active role in coaching and supporting Managers on HSE-related matters and act as a HSE-related trainer for operators and technical teams.
Requirements
- Ability to undertake HSE audits and inspections across the site and provide feedback and action plans.
- Proven ability to carry out risk assessments and accident investigations to a high standard.
- Confidence in IT systems and coaching others on their use.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.

Education/Qualifications
- IOSH Working Safely or equivalent
- Internal auditing qualification or experience

- IEMA Associate Certificate (or similar)
