For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Ice Tea and Rockstar Energy.

The Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team exists to shape, promote and protect Carlsberg Britvic’s reputation and corporate brand equity as the dynamic, multi-beverage powerhouse.

We’ll do this by creating and curating a unique and compelling corporate narrative – one that will engage our key stakeholders in ways that are most relevant to them.

About this role:

This role gives a communications professional an opportunity to broaden their skills across brand, trade and corporate PR in the fast-paced FMCG industry. The role will support the business more broadly to deliver integrated communications, increasing awareness of Carlsberg Britvic, its vision, its achievements and its brands.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, acting with agility while paying strong attention to detail. This role is perfect for a team player who is comfortable working across various workstreams, who regularly shows strong initiative, great multi-tasking skills, and determination.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivering integrated communications campaigns across corporate, trade and brand
  • Managing and working with rostered PR agencies to deliver industry leading content and assets in alignment with our corporate strategy
  • Preparing media materials including press releases, media statements and background information for journalists
  • Managing press office enquiries and responding to journalists in a timely manner
  • Managing Carlsberg Britvic’s social channels – LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube – and developing engaging and relevant content for our channels
  • Collaborating with brand managers to ensure a good working knowledge of brand activities and build into calendar of PR opportunities
  • Identifying, organising and delivering profiling opportunities for business executives
  • Supporting with briefing documents and talking points for executives participating in interviews, speaking events, panel discussions and podcasts
  • Bolstering our brand asset collection and key facts through regular engagement with stakeholders across the business
  • Managing communications-related events including journalist engagement opportunities
  • Raising Purchase Orders, liaising with suppliers and managing the team budget
  • Responsibility for media and company subscriptions

Knowledge, skills & experience required:

  • Working knowledge of the different areas of PR expertise (consumer, trade and corporate)
  • FMCG experience, ideally in the food and drink sector is desirable but not essential
  • Keen eye for what makes great PR stories; new creative tactics to deliver impactful communications
  • Excellent writing skills and strong eye to detail
  • Great organisational skills
  • Ability to build relationships
  • Good communication skills and strong team player; ability to work in multiple teams
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills are essential, experience of business partnering is desirable
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, ability to multi-task under pressure
