Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic\’s brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy. About the RoleAs a Customer Development Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customers in our exciting growth channel. You\’ll lead strategic negotiations and develop comprehensive account plans to drive growth in volume, profit, and market share. With full P&L responsibility for both Soft Drinks and Beer business within your assigned accounts, you\’ll collaborate across functions to deliver exceptional results while building strong customer relationships with key accounts such as Shell, Rontec, EG On the Move, and Park Garages.

Role Responsibilities

Develop and execute customer-specific strategic plans aligned with channel goals to achieve share, revenue, and trading contribution targets

Manage full P&L accountability for the Soft Drinks and Beer business, including building investment plans that ensure maximum ROI on allocated budgets

Establish robust customer contact strategies to identify and unlock new growth opportunities in a channel already showing strong momentum

Monitor account performance, adjust tactics as needed, and drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure business objectives are met

Conduct regular outlet visits to gain market insights, assess execution quality, and support team development

Identify and implement innovative ways of working to strengthen Route-to-Market relationships

Lead strategic negotiations and develop comprehensive account plans to drive sustainable business growth

Experience and Key Attributes

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to build lasting customer partnerships

Demonstrated understanding of trade investment and budgetary management

Robust commercial acumen to develop effective propositions and strategic account plans

Track record in account management with P&L, volume, and profit forecasting capabilities

Growth mindset with confidence to challenge the status quo and drive commercially sound outcomes

Ability to foster inclusive environments, support team members, and act as a brand ambassador

Decisive action-taker who embraces continuous learning and improvement
