About the Role
As a Services Engineer, you will deliver world-class engineering excellence in fault resolution and maintenance standards that support site performance metrics. You'll be responsible for safely monitoring and maintaining all facilities equipment within quality and safety parameters, ensuring optimal reliability and utilization to meet production requirements.
Your expertise in continuous improvement and implementation of mechanical and electrical best practices will be essential. You'll maintain manufacturing equipment, building infrastructure, services, and utilities through coordinated corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance techniques. Through these efforts, you'll minimize equipment downtime and prevent catastrophic failures that could impact manufacturing capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the Engineering department's vision and strategic plan, developing and implementing strategies for energy management, equipment optimization, and maintenance that align with the Britvic Work System (BWS).
- Develop world-class engineering solutions while fostering a culture of strong performance and professional growth to achieve business objectives.
- Collaborate with Operations teams to improve key business results and enhance engineering capabilities by promoting a professional manufacturing team culture.
- Develop and implement robust strategies for mechanical, electrical, building services, and utilities management while controlling engineering budgets to deliver cost-effective results.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities within the engineering environment to foster a continuous improvement culture across engineering and operational teams.
- Conduct scheduled quality and safety checks on facilities and proactively manage arising issues.
- Provide and monitor factory-wide support systems ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory regulations for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Partner with the Central Engineering Department to plan and support capital engineering projects, ensuring successful completion within cost, quality, and time targets.
Experience and Key Attributes:
- Demonstrated practical engineering/technical experience with a proven track record in facilities maintenance service delivery.
- Extensive experience working in a strategic, target-driven manufacturing environment measured by robust Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Strong technical expertise in completing Intrusive Planned & Preventative Maintenance Schedules, HACCP studies, and audits.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation with practical application experience.
- Proficiency with Safety Systems including isolation/lock-off procedures, risk assessment, and permit-to-work systems to manage internal resources and external contractors.
- Qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering (ONC or HNC or equivalent) with current electrical certification (17th Edition or equivalent).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and team collaboration.
