Working Hours: 37.5 hours, 4 on 4 off, days and nights (7am – 7pm, 7pm – 7am)

About The Role:

As a Quality Control Technician, you will ensure the required quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process, contributing towards achieving budgeted site performance through effective control, operation, and maintenance of relevant equipment. This role requires working closely with production teams to optimize quality processes, maintain compliance with standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and provide quality support at all stages of picking and make up of batches
  • Act as a technical resource for all production quality issues covering seam analysis, fill levels, packaging, and control of quarantined stock
  • Carry out verification of all process/quality control equipment
  • Set up product identification labelling systems
  • Communicate effectively all processing issues of a technical and quality nature with management and production operators
  • Train team members to carry out all online quality checks using procedures stated within the ISO system
  • Complete, store, and update all quality manufacturing and production reporting procedures
  • Support and coordinate with outside suppliers and manage supplier performance
  • Liaise with team management to achieve set factory targets
  • Perform SAP administration for quarantine, returned stock, redundant material, etc.
  • Actively promote a quality culture on site
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives

Experience and Key Attributes:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills in liquid handling and packaging processes
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an FMCG environment using quality control techniques
  • Working knowledge of HACCP, ISO, and COSHH standards
  • Experience with SAP systems and quality management tools
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in stakeholder management across production teams
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
  • Ability to work flexible shifts as required by production schedules

Education/Qualifications:

  • B.Tech/A Level Chemistry/Food Technology qualification required
  • HACCP certification (preferred)
  • ISO quality management systems knowledge
  • Technical proficiency in quality control systems and analytical tools
