An established independent small animal practice in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic and efficient Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its friendly and supportive nursing team. This role offers excellent variety, with nursing involvement across consultations, theatre, and inpatient care, and would suit a nurse who enjoys working as part of a collaborative, multi-site practice.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in theatre and surgical procedures
- Supporting veterinary consultations
- Running nurse clinics
- Providing high-quality inpatient care
- Supporting diagnostic procedures, including radiography
- Working collaboratively with vets and the wider nursing team
Facilities & Equipment
- Fully equipped operating theatres
- Digital radiography (available at selected sites)
- In-house laboratory facilities with full IDEXX blood suites
- Dedicated consulting spaces
Working Hours & Out-of-Hours
- Full-time position
- Flexible 4 or 5-day working week available
- 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (8:30am - 1:30pm)
- No overnight or out-of-hours duties (covered externally)
