The purpose of the Quality & Compliance Manager is to provide all relevant quality and compliance assurance services within the Production Organisation and support the Safety Manager ensuring a satisfactory integration of various management systems across the business units. The role is also responsible for assisting in developing an Integrated Management System and promoting measurable effectiveness and continuous improvement activities to maintain our ISO9001 approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Actioning the deliverables of the Annual Compliance Monitoring Programmes in the Production Organisation and supporting similar activities across all business units where necessary.
- Achieving objectives set for the Internal Compliance Monitoring Programmes, reviewing all Aircraft and Component Production procedures at regular intervals and addressing any non-compliance or poor standards.
- Using appropriate measures of bespoke Audit Management Systems to show effective progress of various Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
- Ensuring effective and timely closure of any Findings or Observations raised, supporting Nominated Persons and other actors in the business with Non-Compliance Management requirements.
- Managing effective Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring records according to Company Expositions & Regulatory requirements.
- Auditing suppliers and sub-contractors as required to support Supply Chain initiatives.
- Assisting and preparing for any audits of an external origin including Aviation and other Regulators, Certification Bodies, Customers and Clients.
- Monitoring for trends and improvement opportunities within Internal and External Audit and Oversight activities, producing accurate and timely reports on 'the cost of quality' and 'the cost of doing business'.
- Assisting and developing Quality & Compliance Monitoring Plans as part of continuous improvement opportunities and industry best-practice.
- Being an advocate of Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring strategies in all business units, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best-practice.
- Developing strategies to assist the organisation in maintaining adequate Management of Change activities in relation to Aviation Regulations and other Standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Qualified Aerospace / Aviation Auditor
- Accredited (Maintenance) Error Investigator
- Accredited Aviation Regulations Training in Part-145, Part-21G and J
- Experience of 5 years or more working within Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring activities within the aerospace industry, in a UK CAA regulatory environment.
