The Transformation Manager will drive operational change across a Part 21G production facility, improving production space, layout, and flow, while leading the transition of selected activities from in-house delivery to approved subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site transformation activities to improve production layout, space utilisation, workflow, and operational efficiency.
- Plan and deliver changes to manufacturing operations in compliance with Part 21G and internal governance requirements.
- Identify, scope, and manage the transfer of selected in-house activities to approved subcontractors.
- Coordinate with cross functional stakeholders including Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Compliance.
- Ensure continuity of quality, safety, and product conformity during all transformation and outsourcing activities.
- Develop and maintain transformation plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
- Monitor progress, manage dependencies, and address issues to minimise disruption to ongoing operations.
- Support change management and communication with affected teams.
- Support continuous improvement and lean initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Contribute to capacity planning and future site development activities.
- Support internal and external audits related to Part 21G changes and subcontracted activities.
- Provide input to business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and investment proposals.
- Support performance monitoring of subcontractors in collaboration with Quality and Supply Chain.
- Capture lessons learned and best practices to support ongoing transformation efforts.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in production layout optimisation, workflow improvement, or industrial engineering.
- Solid understanding of quality compliance, and configuration control in aerospace manufacturing.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
