The Role
Working in a busy, fast-paced control room, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of operations across multiple client sites.
This is a highly technical position, requiring confidence with a variety of IT systems and the ability to manage large amounts of information accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring staff attendance, rostering, and deployment across sites
- Using multiple systems to check pay, billing accuracy, and shift allocation
- Managing patrol monitoring systems and site activity logs
- Acting as the primary escalation point for operational issues and emergencies
- Responding to alarms and coordinating rapid responses
- Arranging cover for absences and resolving staffing gaps in real time
- Escalating performance or welfare concerns appropriately
- Maintaining clear, accurate records of all incidents and actions
- Handling a high volume of incoming calls and communicating confidently with staff, clients, and emergency services
Shift Pattern
- Rotating days, mids, and nights
- Average 33.6 hours per week
- Includes two out of every five weekends
Shift times
- Day: 08:00 – 16:00
- Mid: 16:00 – 00:00
- Night: 00:00 – 08:00
- Weekends: 08:00–20:00 or 20:00–08:00
About You
This is not an entry-level role — we are looking for someone who is:
- Highly IT literate and comfortable using multiple systems simultaneously
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proactive, alert, and quick-thinking
- A strong communicator who can confidently manage a high volume of calls
- Organised and detail-focused, with excellent record-keeping skills
- Committed, reliable, and able to work days, nights, and weekends
A full SIA License is essential - no applicants will be considered without this.
