Britplas are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Estimator to join our team. About the Role
As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analysing technical drawings and specifications and working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and clients to secure new business opportunities. The successful candidate will need a proven track record in Estimating and will be able to demonstrate that they are highly capable in the estimation of aluminium curtain walling, windows and doors. The candidate will be a self‑motivated individual with good attention to detail and capable of working to deadlines.
Experience Required
- A good understanding of the contractual requirements included within a tender assessment for compliance / inclusion.
- The ability to carry out detailed take‑offs from drawings, liaising with clients, suppliers and manufacturers to provide the most competitive cost on a particular project.
- Experience and good working practice of all systems and software used by the estimating department.
- Proven track record/experience of estimating within the fenestration sector tendering projects between the values of £1m-£5m. Similar construction sector experience will be considered.
- Good organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple returns.
- Microsoft Excel and Word experience essential.
