British Water is the leading UK membership body representing the interests of businesses working in the supply chain of water and wastewater, together with wider stakeholders across the sector. We leverage global resources, support services, and networks for the benefit of our members - ensuring companies and organisations have their voices heard.

Services are delivered through UK, International, and Technical forums, which connect members to contacts to raise their profile, grow their business and promote best practice. Our Water Industry Forum provides challenge-led, independent thought leadership, to tackle the challenges facing the sector.

The Event Manager is responsible for assisting in the end-to-end planning and delivery of a portfolio of BW events, ensuring they are executed to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Working closely with the Head of Events & Partnerships, this role focuses on operational delivery, logistics management, and stakeholder coordination, while supporting the overall success of BW’s events programme.

Success in this role rests on the ability to multi-task, manage workflows and budgets and engage with a variety of key stakeholders. The purpose of these events is to raise the profile of BW and its members, facilitate networking opportunities for our members and deliver key messages on behalf of the supply chain. It is the Event Manager’s responsibility to ensure the portfolio of events creates excellent experiences for speakers, sponsors and attendees.

Office Location: The BW Team is currently working remotely. This role is UK based and you will be expected to travel in the UK as well as visit the London office (The News Building, 3 London Bridge, London, SE1 9SG) as and when required. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this post. In order to apply for this post, candidates must be eligible to work in and based in the UK.

Working hours: This is a part time, permanent position. A probation period of 6 months will be required. Working hours are generally 9am to 12.30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required around event delivery dates. 17.5 hours per week across 5 days.

Salary: £17,000 per annum part time (£34,000 FTE).
