About British VitaTech
British VitaTech is a UK contract manufacturer producing supplements, nutraceuticals, nootropics, and wellness products, alongside CBD lines, nicotine pouches, vape e-liquids, and skincare for established brands and growing challenger labels. We hold ISO 9001 and HACCP accreditation, and we’re a growing business with a strong customer base and a clear runway ahead.
This is a senior role with real ownership. You won’t be one of many - you’ll be the operational leader of the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with the autonomy and authority to shape how this company runs and grows.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Operations Director who can do two things: run a tight, efficient, quality-driven manufacturing operation today - and build the foundations to scale it tomorrow. In the next 12 months, this role will drive monthly output to new levels, build out a stronger production team, lead our quality and accreditation roadmap, and put in place the systems, processes, and discipline that take BVT from a capable contract manufacturer to a destination one. You’ll inherit good people, a real customer base, established accreditations, and a clean opportunity to make this operation what you want it to be.
What You’ll Own
- End-to-end manufacturing operations across our product categories, including production planning, quality control, fulfilment, and dispatch.
- Leadership of a production team of around 12, with team leaders reporting in and the opportunity to grow the team and structure as the business scales.
- Procurement and supplier management - sourcing the right materials at the right price, planning ahead, and protecting margins.
- Quality systems and our accreditation roadmap - maintaining ISO 9001 and HACCP and building toward higher-tier standards as we scale.
- Customer delivery - ensuring orders ship on time, in full, and to specification, building the operational reputation that wins repeat business.
- Continuous improvement - driving productivity, reducing waste, eliminating manual processes, and building a culture of ownership on the floor.
What We’re Looking For
- Manufacturing pedigree. Substantial experience leading manufacturing operations in supplements, nutraceuticals, food, FMCG, cosmetics, pharma, or a related regulated category.
- Proven leadership. A track record of building and leading production teams, setting the pace, and delivering through people.
- Quality and accreditation experience. Hands-on experience operating under or implementing BRCGS, GMP, ISO, HACCP, or equivalent standards.
- Commercial awareness. An OD who thinks like an owner - understands margins, makes sharp procurement decisions, and connects operational choices to financial outcomes.
- Builder’s mindset. Someone who wants to grow the business, not just run it. Hungry, organised, decisive, and comfortable shaping things from the ground up.
Why This Role
- Direct line to the MD, full operational ownership, and a genuine seat at the leadership table.
- Variety of product categories that keep the work interesting - you’ll never be running the same line every day.
- Clear growth trajectory for the business and for you - grow with the company and grow the company.
- A starting point you can be proud of: established accreditations, real customers, a capable team, and the runway to take it further.
