Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic veterinary surgeon with a passion for providing the best affordable healthcare to pets? If so, this role could be your perfect fit. Join a nearly 3-year-old, purpose-built clinic that prioritises a Fear Free approach to pet care. This clinic is part of a rapidly growing group of independent, family-owned practices, where pets receive the care they would choose.

This role offers the chance to work alongside a highly experienced Clinic Director, two other vets, and a dedicated team of 5 RVNs, 2 VCAs, and 4 FTE front-of-house Care Coordinators. With a preference for candidates boasting 2+ years of experience, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys a collaborative environment and has a great sense of humour.

The working schedule is designed to provide a balanced mix of consulting and theatre slots, with daily administration time factored in. The role involves a 4-day workweek from 08:45 am to 7:00 pm, with 15-minute consults. There is a 1:4 Saturday morning rota from 08:30 am to 1:00 pm, which will increase as the clinic and vet team grow. Importantly, there are no out-of-hours commitments.

The benefits package is comprehensive and includes:

  • 5 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private medical insurance with Employee Assistance Programme access
  • £1,000 standard CPD allowance with the potential to study towards certificates
  • Fear Free training and accreditation provided as standard
  • A day off for your birthday
  • Two days off to work for a local charity of your choice
  • A workplace pension scheme
  • Free Total Wellness Plans for your pets with a 25% discount on subsequent plans and treatments
  • Professional fees for RCVS and VDS covered
  • A relocation package of up to £5,000
  • Visa sponsorship for overseas candidates
  • Quarterly 'fun budget' for socialising outside of work
  • Summer and Christmas group social events
  • Ad hoc trips to Nice and Monaco for CPD
  • Chance to win a trip to the North American Vet Congress in Orlando

The salary for this role ranges from £50,000 to £65,000, depending on experience.

You must be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon and eligible to register with the RCVS to be considered for this role.
