This Veterinary Group in the Medway Towns, Kent, is seeking a dedicated professional to join their friendly and experienced team. This role offers a unique chance to develop your clinical interests while working in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Working Conditions

Imagine working in a practice where flexible hours are the norm, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life seamlessly. You will have a fair share of the weekend rota (1 in 3 Saturdays, consults only) and no out‑of‑hours commitments, enabling you to enjoy your time off without the stress of unexpected calls. The practice can also offer relocation support, making it easier for you to settle into your new role.

Team & Facilities

You will be part of a team of 11 experienced Veterinary Surgeons with diverse clinical interests, including orthopaedics, internal medicine, ultrasonography, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, and acupuncture. The practice boasts excellent facilities, including surgical theatres, consult rooms, ultrasound, digital X‑ray, endoscopy equipment, and an in‑house laboratory with separate dog and cat wards. The Medway and wider Kent area offers a blend of countryside, coast, and excellent access to London.

Responsibilities

You will work independently some days, with chances to take sole charge and help reopen the practice. You will discuss cases and treatment plans with owners, research cases, and book non‑routine surgeries or diagnostics. You should be comfortable managing a varied first‑opinion caseload and collaborating with a supportive culture that has many colleagues with 30–40 years of service.

Qualifications & Experience

To be considered you must be an RCVS‑registered Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 3‑5 years of UK small animal experience. You should be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and an interest in further study, CPD, or charity/community work is a bonus.
