This full‑time position offers the chance to support and lead the first‑opinion hospital team, making a significant impact on both colleagues and clients. Imagine working in a dynamic setting where no two days are the same. The hospital is renowned for its high clinical standards, providing first‑opinion, emergency, critical care, and referral services to a diverse clientele. With state‑of‑the‑art diagnostic support, including a CT scanner, a commercial laboratory, and advanced surgical facilities, you will have all the tools you need to excel.
Responsibilities
- Lead clinical consulting, medical and surgical rotas.
- Support new graduates as a Vet GDP advisor.
- Foster excellent communication within the team.
- Provide evidence‑based clinical care and manage the 6‑week rotational rota (average 40 hours per week, including weekend rotations) and on‑call rotation, possibly up to two bank holidays per year.
- Work across all departments – consulting, surgery, ward and ECC.
Qualifications
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon, eligible to register with the RCVS.
- Experience leading senior veterinary teams within a hospital setting.
Benefits
- Salary £60,000 to £80,000 FTE per annum, depending on experience.
- 6.6 weeks of annual leave.
