Are you a passionate Farm Vet looking for a new challenge in the picturesque Scottish Borders? This role offers the perfect blend of professional growth and a supportive team environment. This RCVS accredited, rural mixed practice boasts a well-established beef and sheep client base, alongside small animal and equine services. With state-of-the-art equipment and a team of experienced colleagues, this position promises a fulfilling and dynamic career.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Work primarily with progressive suckler farms, providing services such as pelvimetry, AI, bull testing, pregnancy scanning, and blood sampling.
  • Engage with pedigree sheep flocks and commercial sheep farms through the dedicated Flock Health Club.
  • Participate in herd and flock health planning.
  • Share farm-only out-of-hours rota equally, currently 1 in 6.

Skills and experience:

  • Solid initial experience in a farm or mixed practice role.
  • Confidence and independence in clinical work, including out-of-hours duties.
  • Enthusiasm for working within a collaborative and supportive team.
  • Keen interest in herd and flock health planning.

This full-time role offers one weekday off every other week, with part-time considered for the right candidate. The salary is up to Β£55k (pro rata) dependent on experience.
