Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse with a passion for inpatient care? This is your chance to take a leading role in a state‑of‑the‑art 24/7 veterinary hospital in Cheshire, just a stone's throw from Manchester, where your skills will make a real difference.

Facilities and Services

Join a dynamic team at a brand-new facility designed to provide exceptional care across first opinion, referral, and out‑of‑hours services. The hospital boasts seven consultation rooms, a dedicated end‑of‑life room, three theatres, separate dog and cat wards, isolation facilities, a fully equipped dental suite, diagnostics suite, and a digital X‑ray room. Additionally, spacious, modern staff areas ensure a supportive and comfortable working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Spend two weeks out of three on inpatient shifts, leading the care for patients from both the first opinion and referral sides of the hospital.
  • Work alongside a talented and experienced team of RVNs, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.
  • Spend one week out of three on the GP side of the hospital, rotating through theatre and consults.

Qualifications

  • Experienced RVN with a keen interest in inpatient and ECC care.
  • Excellent clinical standards and confidence in managing Continuous Rate Infusions, indwelling catheters, and a wide variety of complex medical and surgical cases.
  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse and eligible to register with the RCVS.

Benefits

The role offers a 3‑week rolling rota with a mix of 12‑hour and 10.5‑hour shifts, including 1 in 3 weekends and an average of 39 hours per week. Benefits include 6 weeks holiday, CPD funding, enhanced maternity and paternity packages, a contributory pension scheme, and much more.
