The Role
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will be part of a long‑serving team (3 Vets, 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, Practice Manager/Owner and Administrator) led by a Senior Veterinary Surgeon. The practice is small enough to ensure continuity of care, yet large enough to offer specialised services and in‑house case discussions. You will be responsible for examining pets, advising on the nature and costs of investigations and treatments, and performing both routine and complex surgical procedures in a well‑equipped surgical suite. The facilities include a preparation room, dedicated operating theatre, recovery room, and in‑patient facilities, ensuring comprehensive care for all patients. This is a part time opportunity 9am to 2pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 2:5 Saturday (no OOH) - although if more hours were required this could be discussed.
Skills and Experience Required
- A degree in Veterinary Medicine and registration with the RCVS
- Experience in small animal practice
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills
- Excellent communication and client care abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
The Practice

The consulting rooms are equipped for thorough examinations and routine procedures and the surgical suite has x‑ray facilities, ultrasound, ECG, blood pressure monitoring and a laboratory.
