As a key member of the anaesthesia team, you will support nursing and veterinary teams with all aspects of anaesthesia: creating surgical anaesthesia plans, troubleshooting during the anaesthetic where necessary, and assisting during surgery and recovery. You will work alongside an anaesthetist and a team of anaesthesia nurses, including a senior anaesthesia nurse, fostering a collaborative environment with nursing teams, patient care assistants, interns, vets, and other colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include delivering exceptional care and hands-on involvement throughout the entire anaesthesia, surgical, and diagnostic process. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the training and integration of new staff, including regular CPR and crash training sessions.

While some experience in referral nursing is required, it is not necessary for applicants to have started or completed an anaesthesia certificate. This makes it an excellent stepping stone for those keen to specialise further in the field of anaesthesia. There is a CPD allowance and certificates are supported.
