The practice, locally owned since 2020, has been RCVS accredited as ‘Outstanding’ for Client Care and Inpatient Services. Located in a stand-alone building on a bustling retail park, the practice offers ample parking and is conveniently close to popular amenities. The train station is just a 5-minute walk away, and the town centre is a short journey, with Exeter, Bath, and the coast only an hour's drive.

The practice owner is a multi certificate holder and the rest of the team includes a new graduate vet, dedicated nurses, a VCA, and Client Care Advisors. The practice prides itself on a supportive and collaborative culture, ensuring a great work-life balance and well-being for all team members.

This role is ideal for an experienced vet with a broad range of GP skills, confident in small animal medicine and surgery. Building strong relationships with patients and clients is key, as is enjoying teamwork. If you have a passion for mentoring and are interested in becoming a Vet GDP Advisor, this role offers the perfect platform to expand your skills and support new graduate vets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide veterinary clinical care across small animal medicine and surgery with a focus on mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Build strong relationships with patients and clients and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Support the development of junior vets, particularly in relation to the GDP (Graduate Development Programme) pathway.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experienced veterinary surgeon with a broad GP skill set in small animals.
  • Confidence in small animal medicine and surgery.
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting new graduate vets.
