This hospital based in South Yorkshire close to both Sheffield and Wakefield is seeking a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join its experienced and supportive team, focusing on inpatient care and emergency cases within a busy ECC service.
The Role
This is a dynamic position with a medically focused caseload, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to patients in critical need. From performing emergency procedures to coordinating care with our skilled veterinary team, you’ll play a central role in ensuring every inpatient receives the highest standard of care.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have excellent technical and clinical capability
- Ideally have ECC experience or a strong interest in developing this area
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, busy environment
- Be a team player who enjoys collaboration and communication with colleagues
- Demonstrate empathy and strong communication skills with clients, especially in sensitive or stressful situations
- Be organised, open, honest and committed to delivering exceptional care
Rota & Hours
40 hours per week
2 x 12‑hour shifts (07:00–19:00)
2 x 7‑hour shifts (07:00–13:00 or 14:00–21:00)
2:9 Weekend Rota
No overnight out‑of‑hours
