Are you a dedicated veterinary professional seeking a role that truly values your expertise and well-being? Look no further. This is an invitation to join a supportive and dynamic team at an RCVS accredited, small animal veterinary practice with three branches in and around this city location in South Wales. Here, the philosophy is simple: exceptional patient and client care begins with looking after each other.
Imagine working in a practice where your professional growth and personal well-being are prioritised. The full-time role offers a balanced four-day work week, complemented by a 1 in 5 shared Saturday rota, totalling 40 hours per week. Part-time candidates are also welcomed, ensuring flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
The practice boasts a modern, first-opinion small animal facility equipped with all the tools you’d expect to deliver the best possible veterinary care. The role involves a mix of consulting, surgical, and inpatient work, providing variety and the chance to hone a broad range of skills. While a local out-of-hours provider handles overnight calls, inpatients receive continuous nursing care to minimise transport stress.
Joining this team means becoming part of a large, experienced group of 18 vets and 19 nurses, including several certificate holders. The practice has been recognised for its commitment to team well-being, winning the Wellbeing Award 2024 and being shortlisted for a SPVS Wellbeing Award the same year.
This city offers the best of both worlds: vibrant city life with fantastic eateries, events, and attractions, alongside easy access to the stunning Brecon Beacons and the beautiful South Wales coastline. The city is highly accessible, featuring its own airport, high-speed rail links from London, and the M4 motorway.
Benefits include a competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 and 6.6 weeks of paid holiday.
