Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse eager to join a supportive and progressive team? This RCVS-accredited small animal practice in the heart of Lancashire is looking for a talented RVN to become part of their growing family. With over a century of history serving the community, they blend tradition with innovation and pride themselves on delivering high standards of clinical care with a personal touch. The multi-site practice is fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house lab. The main practice offers 24/7 care, featuring a dedicated out-of-hours night RVN team to ensure clients receive continuous support. You will be joining a friendly, experienced team of vets, nurses, and support staff who genuinely care about each other, our patients, and our clients.
Responsibilities
- Conducting nurse consultations and managing patient admissions/discharges
- Monitoring anaesthesia and providing surgical nursing
- Overseeing in-patient care and recovery
- Performing laboratory work and clinical administration
- Supporting junior team members and student nurses
Nurses are encouraged to fully utilise their skills and actively participate in shaping the clinical services on offer.
You
- A qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS registered)
- A team player with a proactive, caring, and positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high clinical standards
Hours and Rota
- Full-time position averaging 36.5 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 days
- Shared weekends with time off in lieu or extra pay (1 in 6 weekends, alternating between Saturday daytime and a full weekend shift)
- Flexible working patterns can be discussed
